Pomona Surgical Supply Co. was opened in 1948. The owner, Dr. Karl L. Helliesen, opened the business in Pomona while having his chiropractic practice at the same location. We serve Pomona, Claremont, Upland, La Verne, Montclair, Ontario, Upland and the surrounding communities in Southern California.
At that time there was no other durable medical equipment supply company in the area. The supply company became well known. Dr. Helliesen kept on enlarging the facility. He retired from his chiropractic practice in 1975 and continued to enlarge the supply company. He was a very dedicated gentlemen with his company. Karl "Doc" Helliesen passed away in 2002. His wife, Marie, of Claremont, where they lived for 30 years, continues to maintain the medical supply business with the help of her staff.
